I am a 'fifty-something' baby boomer and well remember how I deceived my 'morally upright' parents for almost seven years until at the age of 20 my alcoholic dependency became noticeable. Irresponsibility can be mutual and children learn sometimes by imitation. The 'sociaaly acceptable' drinking for some may be the magnet or stimulus for others!
