Undeterred by dark clouds the women of Fort William Aglow made their way to the quayside in Fort William to prepare for their June meeting which was to take place aboard "The Souter's Lass" travelling down Loch Linhe.

The members and guests were welcomed aboard by the President, Judith Gavars, to the sound of the latest worship CD of Godfrey Birtill. There were a number of ladies who were on holday in the Fort William area who quickly mingled with the Aglow members whose warmth made up for the brisk wind as we took off down the loch.

The layout of the boat enabled us to go on deck to a covered section for a time of worship led by Tracey Jeffries. There was something very special about praising God whilst being surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Lochaber.

Hilary Earnshaw led the meeting, helped by Betha Smith, both members of the Fort William Board. After the time of worship we went below deck to a wonderful buffet prepared by the Crannog Restaurant. This was followed by a series of powerful testimonies from women of 3 generations. Each one shared about the importance of the Lord in their lives.

The evening ended with sharing and praying for one another. New friends had been made and it was with reluctance that we had to leave the boat. It was a very special evening and we want to really thank Finlay Finlayson from The Crannog for making it all possible.

We take a break in July but look forward to welcoming ladies back to our usual venue in "JJ's" Cafe on August 22nd at 6.30.
