New Kingdom United outreach in Inverness
(Check Kingdom United web site for news updates)
A recently formed group of a multi-national character is planning to host a series of events in the Highland capital. Kingdom United comprises believers who, though now all members of Inverness Christian Fellowship, hail originally from different countries around the world; and the group's aim is to work at an inter-denominational level.
Operating out of various venues in Inverness the Kingdom United International Worship Band plan to offer contemporary worship events every Friday and Saturday evening. The first event - starting at 9.00pm - was held on Friday, 5 September and local Christians 'prayed and mingled and conversed' with those who were drawn by the sound of the music. The intention is to continue through to December.
Meanwhile, the Spectrum Centre will be the location for other outreach events which will present the Gospel message alongside worship and offering opportunities to receive prayer and ministry. These meetings in the city's Margaret Street will run on Sunday evenings commencing on 14 September at 7.30pm. NOTICE - THESE SUNDAY MEETINGS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED
Further events are planned with speakers including Brent Borthwick (Wed/Thur. 1/2 October at Culloden Academy) and Christian song-writer Godfrey Birtill (Sun. 19 October). <Click here> for further information.
Beyond that it is hoped to have Australian-based Kul Bal speak at a future date. The effervescent Indian evangelist visited Inverness last year as a guest of Inverness Christian Fellowship.
The Kingdom United core team comprises:
Thomas and Astrid Haberland (Switzerland) Christopher and Kathy Darge (Australia) Kevin and Deborah Andrews (Canada) Stephen and Alison Spriggs (Scotland)
