Young peopleThe young people of the Tain YMCA are preparing for a bumper few weeks of ‘football madness’ as they enjoy this years’ World Cup. Graham Nutt the Youth and Community worker said that the planning group which consists of young people and adult volunteers have put together an ambitious and exciting programme of competitions and events for the young people of Tain and surrounding villages.

2010 World CupIt all kicked off this weekend with a World Cup Fancy Dress Disco on Friday (11 June) with DJ Ally Mac to celebrate the launch of this years’ World Cup competition. The next day saw a 5-a-side Dads and Lads Football Competition following by a prize-giving and BBQ event back at the Youth Cafe with former Scottish and Aberdeen player Brian Irvine presenting the trophies to the winning team.
