Week of prayer for church and nation
The Maranatha Community which has groups of Christians throughout the UK are holding a week of prayer for the church and the nation in a purpose-built retreat house in Helmsdale.
As part of the UK-wide Maranatha Community and over the past twelve years Kalah House has hosted two Weeks of Prayer each year for the unity, renewal and healing of the Church of Christ and this nation.
This year the first Week of Prayer in May 2010 focussed on the way in which God brings healing and revival of faith through the repentance of His people. True repentance can only come through the conviction of the Holy Spirit and an awareness of God's overwhelming loving kindness, mercy and grace.
This second Week of Prayer will be dedicated to praying for the Church and the Nation. During each of these weeks there will be worship, teaching and fellowship, with a 24-hour rota of prayer, and also free time to enjoy the countryside.
