Shimon Peres: Google, Facebook and Antichrist

According to current reports Israel’s President Shimon Peres sees Google and Facebook as the means to accomplish what the Bible tells us will be the role of the Antichrist in bringing a solution to the turmoil in the Middle East.

Shimon Peres
Shimon PeresA REPORT on HAARETZ news site states: President Shimon Peres called on the West to push leading software and internet companies like Google, Microsoft and Facebook to help Middle Eastern countries reform, and said the recent events in the region were an opportunity for peace.

Speaking to the Spanish Parliament, Peres sees the revolutionary upheavals in the region as being “opportunities for peace.”

In terms of furthering the peace process the Israel’s President said of Google and Facebook that these companies have the means to bring financial help. Calling on large international companies to become involved he is reported as saying: “They can set up modern economic networks based on information and technology nearly anywhere in the world.”

In terms the current political earthquakes, something has to happen; and Peres sees the potential of having ‘democratic’ neighbours as a positive step towards achieving a guarantee of peace.

Meanwhile a previous Jewish civic leader based in Iraq gave his take on the end-time scenario which predicted a false and short-lived peace. But it could be that Peres hasn’t read the book of Daniel.
And he may also be unfamiliar with the words of Paul-Henri Spaak, the former Belgian Prime Minister and President of the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe who put it this way:
“We do not want another committee. We have too many already. What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people, and to lift us out the economic morass in which we are sinking.  Send us such a man and, be he god or the devil, we will receive him.”

At the end of the day, and age, it's all down to who we believe. (Jer 1:12)

Thanks Ed.

I don't expect democracy to emerge from this turmoil in the Middle East. I believe it will be one set of tyrants replaced by others, just worse.

'Send us such a man and, be he god or the devil, we will receive him.'

Startling words, but not unexpected. It paves the way for the entrance of Anti Christ. And in my mind, confirms the EU's place in end times prophecy.

Yes, any Islamic democracy is an oxymoron!

Martin Lisemore 23/02/2011 18:05
Exactly. It's not in the Koran, as far as I know, and it's difficult to see how such a people would handle this. Dictatorship is all they know.

Actually, I'm not fully supportive of democracy, since the majority is usually wrong!

Yes - democracy is only as good as the people who have it! It's certainly not taking Britain down a godly road.

Democracy: It's not only 'unkoranic' (I may have just invented a word) but it's unbiblical.

Alan you said - "Democracy: It's not only 'unkoranic' (I may have just invented a word) but it's unbiblical."

Indeed that's right. And neither is theocracy. Not this side of Jesus' return. We don't want the Islamic Ayatollah's; neither do we want the far right 'Christianity' that wants to enforce God's standards on the world.

Winston Churchill said -
"Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." (from a House of Commons speech on Nov. 11, 1947)

Democracy, in it's purest form, is only the best of a bad bunch. And yes, I'll repeat, the majority are usually wrong - history bears out that.

I question, and here I'm already standing in hot water, whether we should have a state at all? State has assumed a persona and power of it's own, a quite unbiblical thing. States have created global war, global famine, and imposed religion and doctrines according to their expediency. America and Russia are perfect examples.

Old Testament Israel was never a state, never a nation, but a people called out from among the Gentiles by God. States were used against Israel as the Rod of His anger.

If the above is correct, what should replace State, and nation, in Britain? What Biblical model is there we could examine?

Come to think of it, isn't Christian Far Right an oxymoron too?

In all the way we see from out Gods Word that Shimmon Peres is the Antichrist. This 1948 Israël founded by the United Nations is an antichristianal nation and we see that in Isiah 2:6-27. Well we see in Ruth 4:12 the name Perez. This means The House of Perez (with a Z) and we see thats the House of the Lord Jezus Christ, because we see here Perez and the name Zera, We seethan in Dan. 5:27 the name Peres so with a S. That Peres means the Devided Kingdom or the Kingdom of the antichrist. When we look at Acts 8:9-25, we see the name Simon the Whitchcrafter. Which means that is the son of teh King of the South or King of Greece inDan. 8:21 and so from Satan. So teh Peres of the devided Kingdom. Now when we see that part is that the antichrist. Now when we see who is teh Pesident of Israel where put nearly all the christians believe in or the seed who are sitting in the brunches. Well what is the name of the Messiah of the Jews? Simon Peres. Now what is the name of the president of Israel? Yes, Simon or Shimmon Peres. He is not the great bombastic leader; he will come in scilent and is a president of a country. So not Maitreya nor the 666 in his name or nore any of that. He is the antichrist and we see it in here. Think about it and pray about that. Amen.

Martin you are partly right. In our Country The Netherlands they put an idoltery on the land Israel, but forget that they are now dealing with a total different Israel than in case of the old Israel. The old Isreel was a country founded through the first bornright of Esau which Esau has sold to Jakob for a plate of soup (Gen. 25). The old Israel was died in the dead of Jesus Christ even as the Jews were died in Christ or more the tribe of Jude. Now, we see that the old is gone and the new has started ....in teh big way in the plan of God for the humanity aswell as also for the born again Christian individually (2.Cor. 5:17). The Americans don't place Israel as and idoltery country and also that they won't say that the jews or the population from this 1948 Israel are the people of God. But a lot of so called Christians in the Netherlands are saying that and than they denied what Christ has done to them and they ignore the fact that who are in Christ is a new creation. The old is gone and the new has come. This we call blesphemy from the churches who are in the real way not a church at all. These churches stay under the whore of Babylon and under the Simon we see in Acts 8:9-27. But the New testament talks 2 times, I think, about Israel. In Rom. 11. Than we need to see what stays in Rom. 11:4-5. God has just 7000 people who has not bowed over Baäl. Than there is a left over who stays in the grace and they are His people. Not the Jews, nor the Gentiles, but the Jews and Gentiles who stays in Christ and become a christian. Thise are sitting by Christ in Heaven. NNot the people ho have crucified the Lord of Jesus Christ.
