Scottish Christian Resources Exhibition

Christian Resources ExhibitionThe first NEXUS Scotland event will provide an exciting blend of exhibitors, church stories, seminars, fellowship, worship and much more.

By bringing together resource providers, organisations and churches in an innovatively designed main exhibition hall with themed zones, special feature areas and a reflective labyrinth NEXUS Scotland 2007 will encourage a sharing of experiences, resources and enthusiasm.

As with previous SCRE events there will be a wide range of exhibitors showcasing the latest resources to assist individuals and churches. In addition, table-top displays from churches and church-based organisations will share local stories of how they are sharing God's love in practical and spiritual ways with their communities. This was a very successful element of The Big Saturday

Ghanaian Choir Featuring at NEXUS Scotland

Visitors to NEXUS Scotland NEXUS Scotland 2007, held in the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre (SECC) in Glasgow between 23 and 25 August, will be serenaded by a special choir invited over to NEXUS Scotland by the Church of Scotland World Mission Council.

The choir comprises members from partner churches in Ghana, and are called Ayeyi Kuo.

Rev Samuel Ayete Nyampong who will be leading the choir said, “The choir will perform international standard music, but also African music with a Christian flavour using drums and other African instruments.”

The choir will be singing on the stage area in the main exhibition hall during the NEXUS event and will also sing at the large NEXUS Worship event held on Saturday evening, 25 August, 7 p.m. in the Clyde Auditorium.

Rev Nyampong said, “People from the Volta region are known for their songs and dances. Expect us to sing and dance in our African costume.”

Rev Peter Johnston, Communications Coordinator for NEXUS Scotland, added, “It is a tremendous privilege for us to welcome to Scotland our brothers and sisters from Ghana. I am sure visitors to NEXUS Scotland will greatly enjoy and will be moved by the singing and dancing.”
