Peter, referring back to your earlier post, please forgive me for not responding. I'm afraid that facebook is an alien planet as far as I'm concerned. I would not venture there even in the starship Enterprise.

It would seem that the Tesco thing is already doing its rounds, I have already had an email forwarded to me from another source :-)

Has some content from the discusion disappeared or been deleted?

me too, and I emailed Mr Brasher to explain how little I appreciate being called evil. Unfortunately I wasn't able to tell him I did all my grocery shopping in Tesco, but I did do some.

The background to this story can be read at -

When writing to any company it is best to write to the Chairman. This will give the letter the best chance of reaching the Board Room. MDs/CEOs have a vested interest in concealing contentious matters for which (in operational terms) they are ultimately responsible.

In these days of 'e-mail overload' and electronic communication as written letter sent by surface mail has added weight.

The Tesco Chairman is Sir Richard Broadbent.

Letters can be addressed to:
Tesco PLC
New Tesco House
Delamare Road
Cheshunt
Hertfordshire
England EN8 9SL
Or email: cr.enquiries@uk.tesco.com

Jenny (16/12/2011 17:27)

thank you editor, that's useful. I believe you're right, an actual letter does have more clout.

Peter Carr (16/12/2011 18:28)

I have taken a belt and braces approach and written to both the Chairman and CEO.

Peter Carr (16/12/2011 18:44)

Ed,

The email given above bounced back as did enquiries@uk.tesco.com I sent my letter via customer services https://www.tescohelp.com/tesco/forms/cs_form.html
and will follow up by post

"Has some content from the discusion disappeared or been deleted?"

Discussion on the authorship of Hebrews has been moved from this thread into the 'Debates' section.

"The email given above bounced back."

Thanks for that information. The address was taken from Tesco's web site....
