Report from Islands Ablaze Conference

by Fiona Cowan

Orkney AblazeIslands Ablaze was a prayer conference in Orkney April 2008. Attracting over 250 delegates from all over the UK, but also from America, it was a special gathering of God’s people with a common desire to see revival and with a heart for the Islands. Locals and visitors shared 5 days of teaching, worship, prayer and excursions and left with changed lives, testimonies of healings, renewed faith, and a burning desire to see the Kingdom of God extended through prayer. People in fact who were ready to see the Islands Ablaze for Jesus. The Saturday of the conference included the first reunion of the Connecting Scotland Prayer Walk.

Since the event God has continued to show his hand of blessing, setting people free from the things that have prevented them walking in fullness with God. Whenever folk stand up to share in various churches the things God has been doing the opening gambit is usually “ When I was Islands Ablaze..”
