Livingstones: a sponsored (fund-raising) ramble

Some Christians in Inverness have organised a fund-raising sponsored ramble to raise funds for a Christian school in Pakistan which is being operated by a believer who visited Inverness this week.

RamblersSponsored Ramble - Inverness,

Saturday 6 November 2010

setting off at 2.00pm from BughtStop

Rebecca Tidey writes:

Friends of LivingStones are meeting at the BughtStop (community hall next to the newsagent in Torvean Avenue, behind the Sport stadium in Bught Park) at 2pm on Saturday 6th November for a walk along the canal and time of fellowship. There will be a scavenger hunt for the children and hot drinks and food afterwards. This is a fund raising event to raise funds for LivingStones Christian school in Pakistan and there will be an opportunity to give a donation. All welcome.

If the weather isn't good for walking, we'll show a film about George Muller, who by faith and prayer provided for 120,000 orphans in Bristol in the 19th century. [This sentence should perhaps be re-written: God provided for these orphans using the Mullers. What a demonstration of His love!]

Children will need to be accompanied by an adult.

If you would like to contribute to our collection for LivingStones by local believers but are not able to join us on Saturday, donations can be sent to Starfish Asia, 32 Beck Lane, Beckenham, Kent BR3 4RE marked Autumn Ramble/Donation for LivingStones. Gift Aid and Standing order forms and information about other Christian schools in Pakistan are available from Starfish Asia, see www.starfishasia.com

For the winter months we are planning a sponsored read of missionary biographies in aid of LivingStones and hope to have details of this on Saturday.

All God willing and to His glory.
