'Le God' comes to Christ
Top international footballer Matt le Tissier's principles and courage cost him his job but saved his life.
GUERNSAY lad Matt le Tissier was a top-flight footballer who played for Southampton Football Club for his entire professional footballing career. As a 'attacking mid-field' his highly-impressive goal-scoring ability dubbed him 'Le God'. As the 2020 Covid plandemic emerged and having retired from his footballing career he was employed as a football pundit with Sky Sports.
However, as he critically examined what governments and the medical profession were doing and the harm these measures were creating he started to speak out. His contra-narrative position caused ructions and his broadcasting career came to a grinding halt.
However the death of the wife of his good friend and former coach at the football club led him into a church for the funeral service. As he entered the building he was overcome with a sense of "this is where I want to be". As he continued to attend he was mentored in the Christian faith and not long after came to give his life over to following Christ.
