Power, Sex and Money

The world is always very ready to attack the church; but so often the church presents the media with an open goal.

We all need to tremble in the sight of a holy God who cannot look on sin.

These reports are from the US, but the US is not the only nation with the problems of  "Power, Sex and Money" in the church.

Mega church

If Jesus is coming back for a bride without blemish then the refiner is likely to be turning up the heat.

The world is always ready to throw mud at Jesus and the church.

Acts 4:26 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Anointed'--

What's more; the religious leaders of the day did the same to John the Baptist and to Jesus, because of the company he kept.

Luk 7:33-34 John the Baptist came, and he fasted and drank no wine, and you said, 'He has a demon in him!' The Son of Man came, and he ate and drank, and you said, 'Look at this man! He is a glutton and wine drinker, a friend of tax collectors and other outcasts!'

Let us not be like either of these groups and so disqualify ourselves from God's blessing.

This ABC link is full of worldly conjecture mixing a few bad cases with mud slinging against others. It is anti-church journalism and we should recognise it for what it is. Let's not do the devils work for him.

If people are doing wrong it will come to light and if not then don't be numbered with those who are throwing stones at those doing Gods business. Let us take Gamaliel's advise;

Act 5:38-39 And so in this case, I tell you, do not take any action against these men. Leave them alone! If what they have planned and done is of human origin, it will disappear, but if it comes from God, you cannot possibly defeat them. You could find yourselves fighting against God!" The Council followed Gamaliel's advice.
