Ian McFarlane has been a Baptist Minister for 34 years with a pastoral/prophetic emphasis. His first church was in Edmonton, North London and then he became a RAF Chaplain. In 1991 Ian was appointed senior minister at Bookham Baptist Church.

He has always been involved in renewal and this has been reflected in his ministry. He believes that church leaders need training and support in how to release and pastor spiritual gifts without fear; and that congregations need to be encouraged to draw on all the resources given to the church by the Holy Spirit. Thus equipped all are then able to see the values of the Kingdom of God worked out in the day to day settings of life, family, work and community.

Ian spends an increasing amount of his time supporting churches and leadership groups in UK and overseas to discover and implement vision. He has a particular passion to see God move in power in Scotland where his own family roots are.
Over the past few years he has been connecting with fellowships and leaders on the West Coast and has a strong sense of the presence of God stirring the fires again. This work is endorsed and supported by the Bookham Church and they are happy for Ian to be pursuing this connection. He is married to Ros and they have 3 children and two grand-children.
