Christian Lewismand stands for election
A Lewis-born, Stornoway-based businessman is to stand at the forthcoming 2010 General Election. In support of his bid, Murdo Murray has now launched his campaign with an election flier and a new web site.
Murdo Murray
is an engineering consultant and former Technical Director with Western Isles Council:
he stood in the 2007 Scottish elections
for the Scottish Christian Party. This time around he is standing as an independent canditate and following a discussion with the SCP leader Rev. George Hargreaves, the SCP has withdrawn its candidate to prevent any confusion.
Mr. Murray has now published a campaign leaflet
in which invites to electorate's support and states:
'British politics stands at an important crossroads and the incoming Parliament will define our moral as well
as our economic pathway for years to come.'
Further information is available on a new website which has recently been constructed to support Mr. Murray's bid.
Mr. Murray was interviewed by Christians Together just after he announced his decision to stand and that interview can be heard by clicking here.
