The CityLife Church (formerly Christian Outreach Centre, Inverness) are hosting a two-day dance outreach for 9-16 year olds during the Easter holidays.

Friday and Saturday, 10 and 11 April, 2009
in
Dance Studio, Millburn Academy, Diriebught Road, Inverness

CityLife Church has a vision to develop dance and other creative arts, both for use during worship services and as an outreach activity. A team from Ignite, CityLife's 9-13s group, has already successfully created and performed a number of contemporary dance routines.

Owen Morris describes the initiative as follows:

"Danceworks is an intensive two-day course of workshops for 9-16 year olds, with training in a variety of dance styles including contemporary and street dance. Participants will also have the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have learned during an Easter celebration at CityLife Church."

Danceworks will be led by Larna Martin, an enthusiastic dancer who is trained in rhythmic gymnastics and jazz and contemporary dance.
Larna is an experienced dance teacher and has ministered through dance at many national and international Christian events. She was for five years principal dancer at Spring Harvest.
Larna has led mission teams around Europe, using creative arts as an innovative way of communicating the Christian message. Along with her husband David, she also leads CitiLife Creative Church in London.
