Highland Festivals - interviews and videos

At the close of the Highland Festival three interviews and two videos were made in order to capture some of the flavour of the events around the area.

Three interviews

Andrew PalauAndrew Palau is the son of Luis Palau and an evangelist like his father. He spoke at both satellite and Inverness events. He is moving on from the Highlands to conduct an outreach in Rwanda.

Listen to an interview with Andrew conducted in Bught Park on the last day of the Festival.

Randall BurtisPastor Randall Burtis is a Festival Director with the Luis Palau Association and has been involved with the planning and preparation for the Highland Festival since its inception over 18 months ago.
Randall is an American and travels extensively with the LPA.

He is heading back to the US for the immediate future to be involved in Festivals in his own country.

The interview with Pastor Burtis took place a couple of days after the last event and before the team left the Highlands.

Nigel GordonNigel Gordon is the European Director for the Luis Palau Association. He was much involved in the latter planning stages and had lead role in organising the satellite events. His work takes him all over Europe and whilst he has a Festival in Marseille on his horizon he is also involved in an forthcoming outreach to Moldova.
Nigel spoke by telephone with Christians Together from his base in the south of England.

Three Videos

Jose and LuisKenny Cormack (very helpfully) sent in a short video of some of the activities in the Wick/Thurso area during the first week of the Festival.

Evangelist Jose Zayas spoke at these events with included both outdoor and indoor meetings in parks and schools.

Skateboard evangelistThe final two days were held in Bught Park Inverness, and some video footage has been assembled to give a flavour of what went on. (Some of the footage was shot from the stage (and you will hear what it sounds like from that vantage point).
The second day - when the video was made - was particularly blessed with good sunny weather and thousands turned out to participate in it all.

Bught ParkKenny Cormack has supplied another (very helpful) video - this time of the events at Bught Park.
