Ignite hits the road; first stop Tain Youth Café

The Ignite Team are on the move again in their vision to bring the church(es) from across the Highlands together. The first event for 2010 kicks off at Tain Youth Café.

Ignite at TainChris Dowling is part of the Ignite team and he writes:

The vision behind Ignite has always been to bring the church from across the whole Highlands together and during the last year we have seen many people travel far and wide to come. Whilst we very much appreciate people travelling we felt we could play our part by taking Ignite on tour.

We aim to do this once or twice a year and we are starting off in Tain Youth Café in May. The event will run in the same format as the previous events at the Ironworks. It is completely free and for churches it would be a great way for their congregations to get a taste of what Ignite is all about.

To explain the format of the event Chris continues:

The night starts with a time of worship lead by the Ignite band which is made up by a number of musicians from different churches. Rev. Bill Slack is to be the  speaker and the night will finish with a time of worship which gives people the chance to respond to the message if they wish.

It is for all ages and we stress it is not a youth event, mainly for Christians although we do get non Christians coming.
The aim is for the church to come together, worship together get challenged and inspired together to then go back out to the towns and villages they have come from and make a difference in their community.

The Ignite event is scheduled for:
