'Challenger' outreach in Black Isle schools

The Perth-based Challenger Bus team have been working in schools and a nursing home where children and the not-so-young have been hearing about Jesus Christ in Bible stories and through song.

Tarradale SchoolLast Tuesday the team visited Urray House Nursing home in the village for a 45 minute service of song and testimony.

In the afternoon the team headed to Marybank for a Kids Club on the Challenger 3 Outreach Bus. Fifteen children attended and listened to the Gospel message in song and Bible stories including the death and resurrection of Jesus. The team then moved to Muir of Ord for the evening outreach with a number of children visiting the bus.

On Wednesday the team were in Tarradale Primary.in Muir of Ord 150 children visited the bus with a great response from teachers and pupils. That evening, 30 children attended the Kids Club with a number of teenagers also arriving for the later session. There were a number of very good discussions with the young people.

Thursday saw the team visit Conin Bridge Primary School with 120 children visiting Challenger 3. The evening work was excellent with 53 children attending the Kids Club.

Maryburgh Primary School is being visited by the Challenger 3 team on Friday.

Challenger 3The team organized an afternoon of sports on Saturday 30 October under the banner of 'Muir of Ord Olympics'.

Please Pray that many of the children and their parents will attend the award ceremony for the games and Gospel Music night being held that evening in the Church of Scotland, Muir of Ord. PWAMM’s drama team and choir will be participating in the outreach.



The PWAMM team ask for prayers:
  • For the leaders and members of the 4 local congregations (Church of Scotland, Free Church, Baptist and Community Church) in Muir of Ord as they continue to work together to promote the Gospel.
  • For the continuing work amongst the young people – pray for wisdom for the leaders of the 4 congregations as they consider beginning a youth work in Marybank.
  • For the Gospel meeting on Saturday 30 October. Pray for the Anointing on the team as they minister in Song, Drama and testimony.
  • For the team as they travel to and from Muir of Ord on Saturday.
