The whole Bible shows that God has a special affection for Israel. There are some of course who will say that God has finished with Israel but the whole Bible contradicts such an idea. Did God reject His people? By no means..... (Rom 11:1)
Rev. Robert Murray McCheyne (1813 - 1843; Church of Scotland minister and missionary)
I ask you then, to settle firmly in your minds that when God says a thing shall be done, we ought to heed it.
J.C. Ryle (1816 - 1900; first Anglican Bishop of Liverpool)
If God could or would break his covenant of grace with Israel, how could we, as Christians, ever have the confidence that God would keep and not break his covenant of grace with us...?
We have seen Israel (the fig tree), which ceased to be a nation for nineteen hundred years, become a nation and a state once more in the Promised Land. Clearly God is at work. What he is about to do, can only keep us on our tiptoes in expectation.
Rev. David W Torrance (senior Church of Scotland minister and author)
The Destiny of Britain was actually to be he restorer of Israel - the Cyrus nation in the sovereign purposes of God in preparation for the return of Israel's King and Messiah our Lord Jesus Christ.....
Kelvin Crombie (Australian author and historian in Israel)
2007 marks the 90th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration and the beginning of British rule over the historic Land of Israel. During the previous three centuries a broad vision developed in the Church in Great Britain for the full restoration of the Jewish people, which included their return to their Biblical homeland. This vision, supported by great Christian revivalists and Bible teachers such as the Wesley brothers, Charles Simeon, Robert Murray McCheyne, C H Spurgeon, and Bishop J C Ryle, was based on the Covenants of Promise as well as other prophetic Scriptures found in the Bible. Many Christians were inspired to pray for the fulfillment of this vision and prominent leaders in England and Scotland, including William Wilberforce, Lord Palmerston and Lord Shaftesbury, influenced the British government to support the restoration of the Jewish people to their Promised Land.
In The Destiny of Britain, Australian author Kelvin Crombie, together with Israeli academics and British churchmen, presents the story of how this outworking of Britain's Christian heritage was intertwined with her geo-political objective in the Middle East to maintain access to her Eastern Empire. In the same way as Cyrus, the King of the ancient Persian Empire, was caused to facilitate the return of the Jewish people to Jerusalem after the first exile, the British Empire was entrusted by the God of History after the second exile with the restoration of His ancient covenant people to the Land that He had promised their forefathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as an everlasting inheritance.

The Destiny of Britain is the Forerunner to The Forsaken Promise - a three-part documentary series produced by the Hatikvah Film Trust about the British Mandate period between 1918 and 1948 in the territory then known as Palestine.
There are many church leaders in Britain today who are crying out for the restoration of God’s favour upon this country, and there are some who believe that the Lord has not forgotten our spiritual heritage as a Christian nation. Because of the Church’s calling to be a ‘prophetic voice’ in the nation, this documentary’s prime target audience is the Church.
"I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." Gen 12:3
