A Word regarding the U.K and Europe

At a recent meeting of Christian leaders in London the following 'word' was supplied to those present concerning the spiritual condition of the U.K. and its relationship with the European Union.

A Word from David Noakes

" If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.

And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it." Jer. 18:7-10

Nation of Britain, I have loved you with a love which has nor ceased, despite the state of apostasy and degradation into which you have fallen. My anger towards those church leaders who have taught false things in My Name, and encouraged others to believe and act as they do, is intense and My judgement upon them will be severe.

Yet I have compassion upon those who have been like sheep without Godly shepherds; and My heart still longs to exercise mercy upon a nation whose forefathers upheld My Name and took My Word to the ends of the earth; a nation whose belief in the truth of My Word framed Godly laws and inspired a culture of uprightness.

Rather than rely on Me and My faithfulness to you, you chose, for worldly purposes, to join yourself to an institution which has denied My Name and refused to acknowledge Me in its counsels. My fierce anger is upon that institution on account of its rebellion, its defiant rejection of Me and its hardness of heart towards My ancient people Israel.

I warn you now that the European institution will not repent, even though I bring disaster and destruction upon it. I urge you, O Britain still beloved by Me for the sake of your Godly forefathers, come out of her, so that you may not be caught up in that same destruction, for I am even now arising in judgement to bring to nothing what she has sought to achieve. If you will separate yourself from her declared rejection of God, I will have mercy upon you and restore My hand of protection; and I will use you once again to bring light to many lost in the darkness which is now steadily increasing.

Hear Me, O once Godly nation and respond to My call, or you also will come to ruin in that same judgement of destruction. This is not My will for you, but you must choose the course which you will take. I urge you to respond to Me and choose life under My hand of discipline and protection, rather than death in the disaster which is even now coming upon Europe.

In my opinion this is not a word from God. It is the word and personal opinion of a godly man, which is not the same thing

David Noakes is a Godly man and has done muuh for the church. But this propehcy is not from God but from his heart. We have been hearing this stuff for years about the any minute now, just around the corner, but never quite arriving judgement,revival, rapture which never happen. Like Ckiford Hill's false word at the time of the UK Oylimpics. 2008 on u tube. There was a word a some years ago about jUdgement on the UK pound What happened, nothing it is now very high. A number of years ago I wrote to PT a five page letter docmmenting their errors, wrong predictions, and mixed upo theology. They never replied. Letter can be supplied. As stated, David is sprit filled man. I agree with first comment.

One of the principal ways in which we can discern what 'the Spirit is saying to the churches' is to share openly what we feel the Lord is saying to us at a personal level. "It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us" is a repeating theme in Acts ch. 15. Mini said: "It is the word and personal opinion of a godly man, which is not the same thing [as a word from God]". And this is indeed the case. Two points: 1. As a personal preference I would prefer that 'words' are not expressed in the "1st person" form but rather prefaced by something like: "I feel that this is what the Lord is putting on my heart". (In NT times no one can speak with the authoritative inerrancy of the OT prophets.) 2. The article (as others of this nature also) carries the caveat: "Readers are reminded of site policy with regard to weighing all these things under the Lord and by His Spirit." In this context EVERYTHING needs to be tested in the spirit, under the Spirit of God and in the context of His Word. However at the other end of the spectrum there is a very real danger that in disagreeing with the 'form' we also disregard the 'substance', and by so doing could miss out on something which God is wishing to communicate to the body of Christ. "Today, if you hear His voice, don not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." (Heb. 3:8; 3:15; 4:7). Footnote: No further time or space will be given to the view that the only way God communicates is through His Word as this issue has been addressed in previous online discussions.

The point is that the article IS written in the first person, implying that these are authoritative words from God to all the people of Britain. The passage from Jer. 18 is set in the context of the nation of Israel but could apply to any nation at any time. Surely to apply it politically at this time in relation to Europe is a personal opinion. The article does not make this clear. The so-called caveat is the Editors footnote. Not everyone who reads the article will possess the spiritual maturity to discern the genuine word from God from the spurious.

The footnote is a caveat not a 'so-called' caveat. The Jeremiah passage is typical of those passages of Scripture which have both specific messages and general priniciples. Careful reading of the passages shows that the Lord is using the indefinite article i.e. setting out the nature of the message as applying not only to Israel but to all nations. The Hebrew word used is "goy" which refers to the 'foreign,heathen, Gentile' nations. Regarding those who lack 'spiritual maturity' that is a matter between them and the Lord.
